Hello Seattle...

*WARNING LONGEST POST IN HISTORY*
Gosh time flies! It has already been a 6 weeks!! Memorial Weekend is also Drew's Bday weekend & we went to Seattle to surprise the kids, celebrate Drew's Bday, & mostly have a fun little family getaway! We had so much fun!!! Sorry for the billion pics but I want to catalog it for my kids! If I didn't hate Owl City, I'd put them on for this post, but I do hate Owl City :) Sorry Haliee

It had been a crazy week beforehand. I had planned everything out in my head to be so.exact.so.perfect. but, even our best laid plans right!?!...Our plans changed that week before when my Uncle Jim suddenly passed away from Heart Problems. My Uncle Jim (My Dad's Brother) was a great man, a hard worker, a fun, caring, giving man. He & my Dad were extremely close and my poor Dad had a rough time. So Hal & I flew out to Sacramento as soon as the funeral plans were made. My parents drove their RV down from Boise, so we decided to ride back with 2 of my brothers who had also flown in & we'd stay the night in Reno, hang out with the family, have a little fun, & fly home from there the next morning. It was a nice little ride minus my car sickness which I blame on my Dad's inability to talk to Hal next to him & keep it on the road, Love Ya Dad! :) We got to Reno, went to gamble a bit, had dinner, gambled a bit {Did I say that twice?? Naughty} When we got back to the RV, I checked our flight (my sister works for Alaska Airlines so we fly at a discount & a standby risk) which had 19 open seats before the casino...and something had happened, here were negative seats on the plane now!!! AHHHH! My kiddos were ready for us to be home, my Mom who was staying with them was ready to go home as she was already going to be staying at my house for our Seattle trip, Hal was supposed to work the next day...I checked every.single.possible.flight out of there I mean going to Colorado, back to California, you name it. But...no luck! Grab a full price last minute flight.rent a car & drive 11 hours. those were options not sounding all that enjoyable! So, we drove back to Boise in the RV, hung out with family, saw new nieces & nephews, got up the next morning @ 4 am & flew home!!! We got home around 10:30ish (there is no longer a nonstop Boise - Spokane WHATEVER! Ugh) Hal slept for an hour & a half, showered and went to work til' 11 pm :(. I hung out with my babes, unpacked, did laundry, repacked and we finally got to bed around Midnight. At 3:30ish...I sat up in bed with that weird wake up in a panic feeling. Hal asked what I was doing, lol, I didn't know, until...we hear this revving of an engine. Super LOUD! Hal goes to investigate & it is the stupid drunk driver kid I talked about a few posts ago. Here is a pic of the aftermath UGHHHH! So we chat with the cops, write a report, and finally get to bed a little before 5...the alarm went off @ 6 and we away we went to Seattle. SO beyond exhausted after not sleeping well while traveling, and coming home to this chaos! Drew had been feeling under the weather but just a slight cold we thought so...With very excited kiddos...we were off!

Now those best laid plans were slightly modified by life, and recognising I was human right!?! We started with a little less cute version of "Cash Cab" where the kids were asked a variety of questions about Seattle. They received $1 for each correct answer. Since we couldn't pull over on the freeway, we allowed them as many phone a friends as they wanted, but...they had to split the pot between them with those ones. They were so dang funny! Thanks to Grandma, Grandpa, Ola, Erin...they won some spending $!
Poor Sickie Boy
We stopped on the pass and ate a little picnic lunch I packed. When we got to Seattle, we went to the Pacific Science Center. It was super fun for the kids but a total let down for us. We expected it to be like the Museum of Science & Industry in Los Angeles. NOT EVEN CLOSE! The kids learned about dinosaurs, the Puget Sound, energy, our bodies, naked mole rats, they each played tic tac toe with a robot, man I was in a fog that day, I can't remember everything! We watched a laser light show featuring songs from Michael Jackson. That was pretty cool. We tried to take pics & video, but even without flash, the screen on the cameras make too much light, so they shut us down! :) we played with a few more exhibits and made our way through the gift shop. I was proud of my kids (what a difference having their own $ made) they barely bought anything!
The 2nd pic below is a newborn whale skeleton. Isn't that crazy how big it is!

. Drew making an astronaut! He loved it~

We left a few hours later us feeling lethargic and bummed at the quality of the Museum, the kids were excited, over the moon, and raring to go!!! We checked in to the hotel. We stayed @ The Warwick International Hotel Downtown. It was nice minus the $27 a day parking!
UGH! I would recommend it as it was close enough to walk to everything! I forgot to take a pic of the hotel but here is the link if anyone is interested in seeing it.
We decided to walk the few blocks to Pike St. and eat at one of our favorite restaurants there called The Steel Head Diner. It is really not a diner, it is quite nice with very organic unique local menu items. I wasn't all that hungry, so I got the clam chowder. they made the most unique yummy chowder complete with a yummy swirl of truffle oil! MMM..Dang, I think Hal had the fish & chips I can't remember we were so exhausted. But...if you are ever in the area, you MUST eat here! Fresh, Quality, YUMMY Food! The kids opted for their grilled cheese it is made from local bread & cheese purchased just down the street & is TDF truly & I am no grilled cheese fan. Drew was really not feeling all that hot, so although he really really wanted seafood, he played it safe. He was starving after not eating much but crackers & fluids for 2 days, I warned him to slow it down, but...no luck. I looked up after we were just about finished eating to see my son with that glazed look in his eye...UH OH, I had just enough time to grab my cloth napkin & catch the 1st of his sick tummy before it hit the restaurant table. I swooped him up and sprinted for the restroom :( Phew, luckily we didn't ruin anyone's dinner. Poor Baby! Haliee said, "Mom, you were amazing, you have crazy reflexes. How did you know?" *sigh* I just did!We walked back to the hotel and although the kids were begging to go to the pool, we decided Mom & Dad could not physically go 1 more step. We were in bed @ 8:30 & the kiddos really didn't last much longer watching TV.

One of the very few things I LOVE about big cities...the shopping! I didn't really shop this trip as it wasn't about shopping but I was intrigued by some of the storefronts~ Isn't this grocery store across from our hotel stinkin' cute!?! I LOVE their curb appeal.

The next morning, we planned to take the tour of SafeCo Field & the game was later that evening. Hal HATES driving in Seattle, I hate paying $30 to park @ the field when we just paid $20 @ the Science Center & $27 @ the hotel. We asked the concierge about public transportation & he said the city bus actually picks up & drops off across the street. Perfect. He walked us over, showed us what bus to take to & from the stadium & we were off. The driver was super nice, also reiterating we take the same bus home. We got to the field it was pouring rain, after 2 blocks walking in the rain we made it inside the gift shop & purchased our tickets for the tour. We walked around & the kids were manically window shopping over the moon for all this baseball stuff! Drew was starving, there was a super YUMMY Bagel place right next door so he managed to eat about an 1/8th of a plain bagel & was full. :( Poor kiddo sick on his Birthday and on vacation YUCK!
The tour WAS AWESOME! Out tour guide was super nice. We got to go on the field, in the dugout, in the press room, in the diamond club, owners suites, sky boxes, it was so dang cool!

Walking out on the field~

Afterwords, the tour guide held Drewy back taking him down & giving him some baseball cards as a birthday gift! :) Drew shook his hand & thanked him but I missed it on camera, so here they are together afterword~
In the dugout

This is in the entryway. It is made from plastic bats. Pretty cool light!
Only players and managers are allowed in the locker rooms ever. All family, etc. has to meet in here. Crazy.

The more fortunate fan area! It was awesome! Several Chefs, 5 Star Dining...All the food you can possibly eat..sign me up! They can keep their peanuts & crackers jacks :)

This was a cool room! Well, when you win...

The Press Box.
If you notice the papers in each place, they are assigned seating for the press that night.

The Owner's Suite! Super awesome. Thanks to all us Nintendo supporters!

We walked across the street & had lunch & then walked down by the docks and looked at
the enormous shipping barges, sea trains we are ridiculous crazy consumers sad really! :( The skyline was cool though!

We went back to the gift shop & the kids ironed out their purchases. The had their names engraved in mini wooden bats, shirts, trinkets, they were in heaven!

We patiently waited for the gates to open for batting practice. We watched and waited ever so patiently hoping for an autograph! Drew was able to get #55 Michael Saunders to sign his bat & his foul ball he caught during practice! As soon as people noticed they were signing anything, it was a ridiculous swarm & poor Haliee was overlooked in the process. Poor sweet girl stood their teary eyed, disappointed and grateful for, but a lil' envious of her Birthday Boy Brother beaming at his score.

Paying our respects this Memorial Day!

We had the most awesome seats! Right behind home plate just above the season ticket holders! Thanks DADDY! My husband is a big kid on vacations...so we had hot dogs, sodas, frozen lemonade, peanuts, kettle corn, candy, cotton candy, fruit kabobs...good grief! :\ We planned & paid beforehand for a birthday pack for Drew. He received a Mariners Duffel Bag, Hat, Birthday Ball, $5 gift card, & $25 gift card to Ivar's Seafood.
The loot..

The Food...

Play Ball...

He also had his name on the scoreboard!! I waited patiently with my camera aimed and as soon as his name came up on the board this stinking HUGE BRAT OF A KID WHO BUGGED US ALL NIGHT jumped up & down in front of me and I got a picture of the back of his head instead. I was so so beyond mad and just sick about it. I mean I was so dang ticked I could've spanked his butt and I don't even spank my kids. I WAS FURIOUS! Did I mention I was mad...ok...moving on. It read "Happy 9th Birthday Andrew "ACE" Hunter We LOVE you Love Mom, Dad, & Haliee. Ola & Papa Ken." (My parents wanted to pay for part of it & wish him a Happy BDay too!) I wish I had a picture of it...sigh...I know let it go, but my pictures are so important to me :( Still pouting...ok...moving on...

Needin' a rally...

The game was so so so much fun! They loved it. watched so intently. Drew arguing with the umps calls a few times, like a true ball player! And not knowing it then, but, we were able to watch Ken Griffey Jr.'s last at bat as he retired the next day! Super cool!

After the game we jammed out of there, hustling the 2 blocks away to the bus terminal...we got on the same bus just as instructed and man we were tired. We had been gone ALL DAY! We started home and got on the freeway...now the morning bus driver had told me they would go a slightly different route home because of traffic, but I had an uneasy feeling about the freeway. After a minute or 2 I looked over & saw Boeing, I turned to Hal & said, "Hey that would be a neat place to tour." About that instant, I realized "Dorothy, I don't think were in Kansas anymore"!!!! I said Hal, we were only like 10 blocks from the hotel, I don't think were going the right way...The couple next to us asked where we were wanting to go, I told them to which they replied, Um...this is the Commuter Bus to Tacoma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here we are, 10:45 p.m. with about $11 on us, and...we are headed to stinkin' TACOMA! OH NO! Apparently after 10 pm the bus only heads back to Tacoma! Ummm...nice to know! No wonder there were no stops...oh dear. After a 30 minute ride, we stopped at the Tacoma terminal IN THE HOOD! I tried my best to excuse myself to the front of the bus to talk to the driver. HE WAS A TOTAL JERK & ABSOLUTELY NO HELP. Parked on the other side of the terminal was the ONLY bus back to Seattle, thanks to a fellow passenger I was able to jump off the bus and I sprinted behind it as it took off...It was like a bad dream. I ran down the street after the bus, but it wouldn't stop :( Hal had just enough cash to pay the fare & I got back on the bus to hear a nice man asking the bus driver if he would radio that bus & ask if it would stop so we could get on it, if he would phone the bus barn to see if there was anything they could do, if he would do ANYTHING FOR US...UMMMM....NO!!!!!!!!!! We got off the bus and I looked around at the deserted dark area, graffiti, homeless people, a closed Greyhound Station, and NOTHING. For blocks there were no gas stations, nothing!!! Thankfully there were 3 taxis parked in front of the Greyhound Station the 1st one we came to had a VISA/Mastercard Sticker on the window. Thank YOU GOD! I had been praying my little guts out! We got in and after $80 the rest is history. We were back after midnight, safe & although thoroughly irritated, making memories right!?! Don't think I didn't let the concierge know of his misstep though! Not that it did us any good.

Hal took this pic of Drew saying he looked like a man just hangin' out in bed reading.relaxing. :)

The next morning I walked down to the "Top Pot" Doughnut. We had read about it in the Airline Magazine on the flight home & were excited to try it! It was a super cute little shop! the doughnuts were ok. Hal wasn't all that impressed, but we showered and checked out. We were able to leave our car parked @ the hotel until 4 pm., so we decided to walk down to Pike St. and shop the farmers market. We walked down to the water & had lunch @ Ivar's. It was ok. {They have NOTHING on Splash Cafe~ Pismo Beach, CA} We went to the Aquarium, Zoo, etc. last time we were there & noone was really impressed enough for a repeat. So we just messed around the Market, got some fruits & veggies & walked back to the hotel. Hal ran to get our car to find a parking ticket on it! *sigh* After going back into the hotel, we worked it out & were on the way home!

Finally feeling good enough to eat some Seafood!

These 2 Fire Department Boats were docked right beside the Ivar's Restaurant. They were neat!

This barge was so crazy. I am assuming it went out to Mercer Island. All of a sudden tons of cars started driving onto it (double decker) & away it went! It was huge.

All in all it was a great trip! Drew had a fun Birthday, us a fab mini vacay...and TONS of mostly great memories!! :)

Remember when...

This was all it took to make you so very happy?? I want this again {Simplicity} These kids were just on cloud nine creating imaginary cakes, towers, robots...made me smile to see their happy little creative faces, listening to their teamwork, giggles, serious work, them.being.kids. Is their anything better under your feet while making dinner?
On a less enjoyable note. My poor husband is wrapping up another 2 day audit. :( Please say a little prayer for him. Work has been really terrible lately & I am sad he has to be there so much
:( I wish he were able to experience the simple joys of a big kitchen mess made from joyful children.

Happy 4th of July!

Now to be quite honest, I am not really a fan of this holiday. I think it gives people an excuse to party, drink too much, and act a fool. I am not so into fireworks, I mean if you've seen them once, you've seen them a thousand times. OHHH AHHH already. It makes a mess on your sidewalk when you do them at home. It is a pain with crowds, traffic chaos when you go out, there are too many people {idiots} out on the lake to go out in the boat... Now no one text me, I am all about making my kids happy. We are going to see a fireworks show tonight. We are bbqing with the family & doing our own fireworks tomorrow night. We have seen fireworks the past 2 weekends at the ball fields. Blah blah. :0)

That being said, I do LOVE what this holiday stands for. We are certainly "Home of the Free because of the Brave" I don't want to make light of that. I am so so very thankful for our brave and selfless servicemen & women all over the world sacrificing to make my life better. Thank you all so much for making my country safe for me and my family. I truly appreciate every.single.one of you!!

A little icing on the cake is the cuteness of holidays!!! here is a tutu I just made for my friends daughter to wear tomorrow! Isn't it so dang cute! I love the star tulle! Now aren't you glad everyone isn't as bah humbug as me :) Have a Happy & Safe 4th Everyone!!!

Spokane Indians with Drew's Little League Team

2 weeks ago we all went to the Spokane Indians opening night as a big ole' baseball team family! There ended up being 40 of us & the kids had a blast. From batting cages to bouncy houses...hot dogs, cotton candy, kettle corn, soda...these kids were W.I.L.D. well, some more than others! We sat on the very very top bleacher off right field and to this spoiled Momma, the ONLY perk was a back rest! I want to watch the game, which is much harder up there! Plus the kiddos were jumping up & down in front of us the entire time. But...the kids had fun as a team, so that was cool!

My poor boy with his shiner :) Yep, you do still need a sweatshirt in the evening end of June in North Idaho!! :)
My spoiled kids were going to the following week for Drew's belated b-day party too. I'll post this soon, along with the weekend in Seattle. These are going to be long posts so I am dreading them on the laptop, lol! we have been having fun this week relaxin'! We went to the lake with the Grimmets for a little bbq. The kids had so much fun swimming & building sand castles. Hal took us 4x4in' up in the mountains & the kids were such a hoot. Screaming their heads off climbing those hills! we also found a little part of the lake where they have made a little swimming hole roped off with logs. well, those logs are cabled together and to the ground, but the center log moves quite a bit!! We had such fun competing to see who could make it across the log like a tight rope without falling in! :) talk about a great laugh! It was so much fun...ahhh...the simple things...what I am so striving for!
More bows & a super fun Back to School launch coming next week! Happy 4th of July weekend! I am off after this to go see the new Twilight with my girl! She is dying to see it! :0) Mom, I wish you were here with us :( It just won't be the same without Grandma!!

Happy Father's Day!!

I wish I had access to all my pics for this post, but this will have to do for now...I have been so blessed in my life to have been loved by such great men.

Let's start with my Dad...

To say I was spoiled is an understatement! I could do NO wrong in this man's eyes. Everyday he would bring me home a Whatcamacalit candy bar in his lunch pail...I used to wait so eagerly by the door to listen for his truck! He took me everywhere with him even to work sometimes! We would stay up late eating peanut butter & honey, he made the best grilled cheese sandwiches, he always let me drive home from town on the back roads, whenever I asked for something (anything) if he replied with a maybe, I would immediately jump up & down screaming "Maybe Means YES, maybe Means YES!!!" It always did! He made up a song shortly after I was born and sang me too sleep with it more times than I could count! I have very rarely ever seen him cry. The 2 times which stand out most were ...the 1 time I ever remember him disciplining me other than with a "don't do that again"; I was an ornery teenager (13 I think) too big for my britches...and this time, he had no choice but to step it up a notch. So he let me know he was going to have to spank me...Now "My Dad" never spanked me, never...so I thought to myself, ha, are you kidding. I turned and faced the wall with that terrible teenager look on my face like uh ok (brat what a brat I was) and he gave me 2 swats. Actually they were NOT swats, but merely slaps and even that is stretching it. I turned around to grin at him as if to say "Are you serious" and he had tears in his eyes. :( That was probably the most disgust I have ever felt in my life. I was so sad I had hurt my Daddy.

The other time was at my Wedding. We stood there waiting for the doors to open, him trying ever so hard to be tough, wanting to buckle at the knees and when they did finally open I said, "Daddy" He quickly said, "come on Tab" Knowing if I lost it, he surely would too. He crackled out a "Her Mother & I" when asked who would give me away...well and now the rest is history.

He taught me honesty, integrity, loyalty, the list goes on & on, but most importantly, he taught me LOVE. Thank You Daddy, for being you...I LOVE YOU!

My "Other" Dad came into my life when I was in Middle School. The ornery teenager from above :0) He was fun and lenient. Always telling my Mom "just to let me go" :0) Spoiling me rotten as well, shopping, golf, music. Paying me exorbitant amounts of $ to do my chores! He is such a goofball always dancing & acting silly! Saturday mornings I was always awoken with waffles! We played many a board game, & all car rides consisted of several attempts to beat him at states and capitals. He drove home the importance of good grades and rewarded me ridiculously for honor roll. Being a product of divorce has actually served me quite well. I have 2 additional parents who have brought such joy to my life. I LOVE Ya P.K.! Thanks for being the best "other" dad in the world!

And my husband...
Such an amazing combo of both men with his own little ways! This poor kid didn't know what he was getting himself into! A spoiled little spitfire I was...(ok still am, but I am mostly in retirement!!) I think he should've been forewarned as to the severity of my spoiling beforehand, ha! I think he was too young and in love to have listened anyway! But now... *wink* He works so {TOO} hard to make our life great. Coming from a childhood which was nothing like the above listed greatness, he somehow manages to deliver all these incredible qualities into our children's lives. He teaches our kids fun, responsibility, loyalty, honesty, sports, generosity, hard work, leadership...this list goes on and on. Always with a tender heart. He definitely has their bluff. If he even hints at raising his voice, they fall into line as if there is something terrible on the other side of that rough (really teddy bear) growl :0) I don't think I could've chosen a better man to raise my precious babies with than Hal. I look forward to the life before us, and I can only imagine what our grandkids will receive! I think I will order their baby dentures when I find out the kids are expecting!! He skates right under the radar and I am the meany who makes them eat healthy! I LOVE YOU Halarini! Thanks for making our kids dreams come true.

I do have pics of the frames the kids painted for Hal for Father's Day. Aren't they precious...

Despite the rain wrecking our picnic plans, we had a great chill day...
How was your Father's Day?

My Baseball "Super Star" & 1 BIG OWIE!!!

Thursday night was the last game for our AA Orioles this season. Minus the par for the course highly uncooperative weather, it was a blast this year!!

Drewy plays Pitcher & Catcher mostly with an occasional 1st or 3rd and does such a great job! I LOVE seeing his little handsomeness out on the mound & behind the plate! It amazes me how good they are at 8 & 9! Drew LOVES the game. He has such a sports brain. He always knows the count whether out in the field or on base! He practices out in the backyard any spare moment he gets. :0)
They had a great final game, although they ended up losing at the end. It was 0 - 0 until the 5th inning. We were up 1 - 0 until the 6th inning. Drew struck out 11 of 14 batters pitching a PERFECT game for the 1st 4 innings! WAY TO GO DREWY! I LOVE this little man in the making!
His Daddy was beaming!
So were his coaches!
Of course I forgot my camera, here are a few pics crappy taken from my phone a few games before...

Feeling a little euphoric when we got home, he was horsing around throwing toys in the air & hitting them with his hand...which led to he & his sister horsing around...we hadn't been home 10 minutes, when...
Drew ran into the dining room chair & starting bawling, I mean really bawling. I didn't see him hit, but he was holding his face. After about45 seconds, Haliee went to him to check it because he doesn't normally act like that. He is pretty tough. AND she starts screaming...
OH.MY.GOD...OH NO DREWY....which totally FREAKED him out.
So I went to him...OWIE! His eye was just swelling like crazy, it was already as big as the1st pics within 1 minute. He hit right on the brow bone, poor kiddo. Hal & I calmed them both, good grief Haliee girl, lol! They were both so totally freaked out. Here is his battle wound...
And the next morning his eye was swollen shut...

By bedtime 24 hours later...Much better but black & blue...

You can't keep a goodman down! Atleast there were no stitches! Poor lil' man! ***I couldn't get him out of the dang uniform! NO JUDGING :9) He was still loving his awesome game even wounded!

Stuck!!!

So since it warmed up end of Spring, Hal has been taking the kids "4 Wheelin'" Which I was super nervous about, but...they took me along one day & really...all it consists of is going over some top soil dirt hills left from construction between our house & the School in the trees. So, I breathed a HUGE Sigh of relief and let them have at it!

They have been out dozens of times. Zoe LOVES it too...Well last week I was listing bows and away they went, Hailey Mac in tow too. About 10 minutes later I get a call..."Mommy, we're STUCK!"

Me: Stuck? HAHAHAHAH...HA

Haliee: "No really Mommy, we are seriously STUCK!"

Hee hee...so beaming with glee, I headed out to rescue them! The Mom "bucket" as my husband so dearly references my suv had to go rescue Mr. 4x4 best driver in the universe Himself!!! LOL!

After I gloated as long as I could before being beaten, I went back home to continue working...

Only...to...receive a 2nd "Mommy" call...15 minutes later~ BAHHHH! What a mess. I tried not to harass him too much this time as I really don't want him going on any real hills, I would much rather him be stuck in little top soil hills with no traction! He is really a much better driver than I but..we will never let him know I do admit that!

The kids however, were so happy to be stuck! They had the best time!!

Summer Kick Off...

Last Saturday night Haliee & Hailey Mac were feelin' mischievous! So what else is new right...So...they asked if they could go prank Mr. Drake...Now Mr. Drake was Haliee's homeroom teacher for 6th grade. He also taught 5th grade @ the elementary school the previous year. So Haliee has known him awhile! Being the sweet student she is; she talked him out of his address about 6 months ago! She has ding dong ditched his house a few times...but not since last fall.
So the girls made a sign for the front door making themselves known, lol, they have to make it known who did the crime! Drew decided he needed to be an accomplice so I loaded them up equipt with silly string and away they went...

Here they are attacking his poor front lawn! they placed the sign on the door, rang the bell, and sprinted back to the getaway car! Only...to...beg...to...go back to be caught lol! His poor wife Bonnie! Good thing they are young & good sports! We LOVE them! Haliee is going to be his TA next year, so I am so glad they'll get to hang out again!
When we got back home Hal pitched a tent for them all in the backyard. They were so excited, made their beds, payed games, hung glow bracelets on every zipper pull...and...10 minutes after Hal & I settled into bed to watch a little TV...here they came! The girls were too chicken to stay out there alone & Drew was begging them to try...SILLY GIRLS!

Last Day of School & Drew's Bday Treats!

Every Year our Elementary School does a huge LUAU "Aloha Day" Party! It is similar to a carnival but everything is free. The kids just run like mad from booth to booth eating otter pops, getting tattoos, different relays, bowling, face painting, rope climbing, dancing (they hire a DJ), you get the drift! This year I was in charge of the fruit loop necklace station. Should be easy enough right? It was...but...the kids were just a little amped! There were fruit loops smashed everywhere, the sugar would come off on your fingers and it was so sticky, yuck! But they loved it, so another successful memory right!? :0)

Drew was sick in Seattle and ended up missing the next week of school. He had an icky virus he just couldn't kick. So we ended up moving his bday class treats to Aloha Day. Just your par for the course class treat party, but I loved how cute Drewy looked embarrassed as they sang to him!

The Haliee's I think I will rename them Haliee2 (squared) get out of school before Drew so they came to help me & celebrate with him as well. They snapped most of the pics & took the video so love them!!! He chose brownies with M&M's, thanks Drewy for making it super easy on Momma this year! :)

Silly Self Portaits are a must! I forgot to edit it beforehand so we shall leave it horizontal!

*On a side note, Drew chose to have his bday at the local baseball park (Spokane Indians)~ farm team for the Texas Rangers this year & their opening day wasn't until June 18th, so he is getting quite the bday spread this year! His Baseball team is going that night as a whole team, so we will be going the following weekend! I'll be posting about that next!

Hi!!!

I feel like life is passing me by! Sorry, I have so much to blog about I've got to find the time somewhere! I am still on the laptop *UGH* hopefully next week I will be back to my normal chaos...crossing fingers}

So here is a week's recap minus pics WAHHHH!

Haliee's softball is over! Tourney was last week. Phew...I wish the ball fields were closer to each other, it is way too hard trying to be across town at 2 places at once! Today is the beginning of Drew's tourney week, so we are on the home stretch! I will be workin' the snack shack so hopefully Haliee comes home from her end of year sleepover party to hang out with me in there. :0) We shall see...

Yesterday was also the last day of school! Yippee! I am happy, I love having them home. I am guessing we'll be eating alot of spaghetti, tacos, etc. as we will likely have a house full all summer! :0) I am so fine with that! Hailey Mac has already been here everyday this week!

Both kids got straight A's! :0) YAY!
Haliee received a 4.0 award a well as a $25 gift card to regal theatre & candy from her Pays to get A's award! We are so proud of her. Man middle school packs on the homework. She is the model student I never have to bother her at all about any of it. She does all her work, projects, etc. all on her own! Man, I could have 100 Haliee's...minus the mess!

Drew also got straight A's although they don't really grade in letter grades yet. He scored #1 in his class on their reading isats (state testing) & was advanced in all the areas. He is super strong in math and HATES writing but still received advanced. Ahh he is such a pain when it comes to writing. the kid has an amazing vocabulary but hates to jot it down. Oh well, there are worse things right!?

So collecting $/purchasing coaches gifts for both teams, teachers gifts, end of year parties, school luau booth running, sports, birthday party planning...I am a tired Momma!

Last night I helped Hal in the front yard getting our lawn, etc. back up to par. The day before we left for Seattle @ 3 am a drunk driver kid decided to crash into our yard. UGH! he was stuck in the grass revving his engine for 15 minutes until some friends ran down the street to help him get "unstuck" We called the cops & they found the kid, but he broke several sprinklers & totally tore up our yard :( Hal is just a little ticked. It was pretty scary, I just knew he was going to hit the house when he was revving the dang engine so high. So we fixed he sprinklers, put down new topsoil & planted seed in the damaged areas. Hopefully we'll recoup the $ from the restitution the cops requested. We shall see...

I have listed a few new cutie bows & some 4th of July are coming as soon as I have time to list them. I have some orders to get out this weekend too. It is such a pain editing pics in photobucket grrrr...well at least I can edit them at all right!

I am still hurting everyday, ugh..whatever, hopefully we can figure out whats up soon...and if I am being honest, I am having a rough week emotionally. I am going through my normal motions, on the outside, I am fine...but I am sad. I have empty arms this week :( Which really makes no sense right!? Life is so busy & hectic where would I squeeze more babies in? But no logic warms the heart. I think the reality of not having the ability to ever be pregnant/nurse again is the hardest part. There is nothing I can do about it and it just stinks :( Trying to be optimistic and I am so thankful for what I do have...but is is really hard...ahhh...I ma sure the laundry I am getting ready to do will help right!?!

Happy Saturday & I hope to post some pics soon! Seattle was a blast, the Mariners Game was sooo much fun! A great surprise to Drewy! I can't wait to share :0)

One Rough Week...and some new bows!

Phew, life is throwing me some curve balls these past few weeks! I have come to the realization {I AM NOT IN CONTROL}! Not easy, but necessary to not go insane! I am still hurting, so going back again to the doc Thursday. I have been bombarded in addition to our everyday crazy...with...a funeral which required travel, airline foul ups, extra travel, a dog in the vet, a broken printer, a car wrecked into my yard, a broken computer, a mini vacay for Drew's bday, an unexpected city bus foul up in the night with a $80 return cab fare to boot, a sickie boy, a missed staff meeting...CALGON...I will elaborate more later, but until then...think of me :0)

On the flip side, we are home, all are mostly healthy. I am thankful...trying to remain optimistic. I do realize it CAN ALWAYS GET WORSE! Makin' memories right!?! There are some really great things which happened amongst the chaos! :) I'll post soon!

I did manage to get 2 more sets of bows listed though! Hooray! only a week late! I thankfully had uploaded the pics into photo bucket before all this started happening! Ugh, but...blogger won't allow the images from the html code. :0)
Of course it won't!
