My Kid's new Spring Break Restaurant! :0)

So today is the 1st day of Spring Break here & we are laying low this year! I am so tired of running like a maniac, we decided to stay home!

Anyway, my kids have been playing while I worked all morning. Softball, Tether ball, Wii, Board Games, etc. Haliee's friend Ally spent the night last night, & they have all been playing so well as a threesome "YAY"!! So a few minutes ago, in came Ally & Haliee to offer me lunch at their Restaurant! They created menus, made all the food and waited on Drew & I. Aren't they cute!!! In their pockets are order forms, napkins, and silverware. Drew's place setting even included a charger plate, lol!

Drew of course chose all JUNK for lunch. I tried to adjust his order but Haliee shut me down, claiming ownership of her restaurant. LOL, I guess once is ok. Here is what Drew ordered:

Hazelnut Italian Soda
Nachos
Pringles
Crackers & Dip
Samoas
Chocolates
He is also quite smart, he had his bill sent to my table, what a terd! Forgive his piggie shirt!
LOL, I guess since they literally ate 3lbs. of strawberries after dinner last night, I can let them slide right!? Ok, I am back to work, I just had to share! I hope they make you smile as much as they did me~ Look for some new Easter goodies this afternoon & some fun & games goodies starting tomorrow!

Email me with your design wants :0) Haliee just did the cha-cha slide in your honor (and maybe to stall going to bed just a bit!)

A SURPRISE Getaway!! :0)

We had a great weekend! My Other Mom (step - mom sounds I don't know not important enough right?) was nominated for this awesome "Women Making Herstory" Award for her awesome commitment to society by Boise State University (SO AWESOME), so we decided to surprise her & drive down for it! You can read about it here...
http://womenscenter.boisestate.edu/content/wmhdetail.cfm?wmh_id=201

So we planned all week and no one knew! I called Boise State and secretly RSVP'd for our family :0) We got Drewy a suit and I worked my tail off to get my customs out before we left!!
We drove down Friday (it is about a 6 1/2 - 7 hour drive) and just walked in the house! She about jumped off the couch when she looked up & saw us standing in the living room!!! It was great fun to surprise her like that!

We had a fun weekend and I got to surprise my whole family as no one knew we were coming! The kids looked so cute in their formal wear and I guess I will have to go get their pictures taken because we were so busy, the photo shoot was cut out of the plan per usual. LOL, despite my best efforts, I am unable to squeeze 30+ hours out of a day.

It was so fun nevertheless and we are so proud of her for being chosen. It was nice to see her hard work recognised. My kiddos were excellent as they had to sit for 3 hours through the ceremony. I got to see my new niece who is 5 months old now, so I was so glad to meet her finally!!! We hung out with family, I had the pleasure of the wii fit deeming me "obese" thanks so much, lol. We went bowling which the kids LOVED, stayed up all night talking both nights, & My Dad even got up at 5:30 Sunday morning to make his spoiled brat daughter Prime Rib before we left. I am a brat I know!!! We begrudgingly got back in the car for the ucky drive home (man I should've flown, lol) and decided it would be fun to donate some $$ to the casino along the way.
:( We were feeling extra generous to the state of Washington as well and will be donating $154 to their cause for "excessive speed" apparently 44 mph is excessive!
:( Short moral to this story...When the parents want Red Robin, don't allow the 7 year old to decide otherwise and head to Olive Garden, there is an officer waiting in the parking lot of Toys R Us to ticket you. UGH! So feeling wonderfully FULL in our hearts and unfortunately LIGHT in our pocketbooks, we are home!!!

I will be bowing my little fingers to the bone this week and I have a fun launch coming up tomorrow themed "My Favorite Things" with LemonLime.

ANYONE have any "Favorite Things" they would like me to create bows around this week!? Just let me know & stay tuned! ;0)
HUGS, here's to a great "GREEN" Week!

New Spring Bowsies & an AMAZING Charity...

This Morning in Church these amazing kids were brought up on stage to be thanked for their kind hearts. These kids were so little I would say 4, 6, 9 if I had to guess, I am not totally sure. Anyway, they visited a rural medical clinic in Mexico and were inspired to help sick children, so they started a lemonade stand. After realizing they weren't quite making the money they were wanting, they came up with the idea of selling dish towels. Interesting choice I know, but these little selfless entrepeneurs are doing something right! The middle daughter designed the logo & they basically have been selling them just on word of mouth. They are only $5 each. They have raised over $15,000 selflessly selling these towels! Here is a brief bio of the kids which comes attached to the towel when you purchase it. Sorry it's kind of blurry & small, I tried to enlarge it, but it was cut off when I posted. Needless to say after hearing these little kids speak there wasn't a dry eye in the place. How amazing that such little kids could make a difference! I thought I would share! Here is a picture of my towel, of course somehow between church & now, it is dirty, lol, apparently I spilled lunch on it?~ I think their email is kidshelpingkidsfixbrokenhearts@gmail.com They posted it on the screen but I didn't pay much attention (oops) :0)
***Ok, so no sooner than I posted this & walked away to switch the laundry...my Miss. Thang Tech Savvy daughter found this on u-tube. Man, I feel old, lol. Anyway, here are the kiddos if you want more info! Thanks Miss. Haliee Girl :0)

My Baby Girl!!

Do you ever have those moments where you just realize how quickly time flies. I notice little things all the time, but man, life really does just keep flying by. It seems like Haliee should be 3 or 4 and she is going to be 11 soon. :( This is her last year of elementary school and this Momma is just NOT READY! It is so neat to watch all her triumphs and she is such a good girl. I am so proud of her & wouldn't trade a minute, I just wish I could TIVO life so I could rewind and freeze when I need a moment to hold them as babies again. How did my binky clad bow wearing baby turn into a loud music texting preteen???? WAH! NO FAIR! I lost my little baby somewhere has anyone seen her? Good thing she was replaced by the best 10 year old around! Ok, off to watch LOST and pout, lol!My Baby Haliee at 15 mos.

Happy Anniversary to me!!!! :0)

Yesterday was my 13 year Anniversary!! Since the weekend was Valentine's Day, we decided just to have the kids go to my parents house & hang out. We run 24/7 so we decided not to have an agenda this year. Drew had a game on Saturday, so we just said out goodbye's after that & headed off to The Davenport for lunch. Hal surprised me 3 years ago with the Cutter ( he was the architect for the hotel) suite here and it is an amazing hotel. You can check it out here...
I was so surprised...Amidst a spa day, a dozen roses, chocolate covered strawberries & appletini's waiting for me in the room when I got back, it was an awesome time, so we go revisit the restaurant as much as we can. Awesome food & ambiance!!! Of course we ended up at the casino, Hal ended up winning on a $1 machine at the end hooray, so our whole weekend was free! We had already shopped a little, we were weirdos this year and just shopped for our gifts together. Then we ended up just hanging out at home watching movies and eating out! Yesterday, we hung out all day too, we went to a yummy restaurant which actually floats on the water here on Lake Coeur d' Alene! A nice relaxing weekend, I SO NEEDED! Anyway, I thought it would be fun to look back 13 years at our wedding photos, we were such babies! I especially love our hair (Not so much!) Enjoy the laugh! :)

This was in one of those dorky booth's at the beach! :0)
And...here was are a little more recently, I think this was a year or 2 ago, it was the 1st pic I found in my very unorganized pics online, lol! 2 kids and a few years later, better hair and not a lb. gained *wink*!!
Ok, here are 13 things, I LOVE about my husband!!!

  1. He is so much fun, he is a jokester and always makes me laugh, even if I want to beat him while I laugh!
  2. He is the most loving father!
  3. He cries at sad movies and then gets mad at me for making him watch them :0)
  4. He is just as OCD as me in so many ways, sorry to my kids!
  5. He has this funny lip thing going when he tries to lie to me, I have learned this from years of being gullible to his tall tales and jokes!
  6. He is addicted to the lint roller!
  7. He is such a family man, he loves spending time with us!
  8. In 15 years we have been together, he has never once complained about 1 penny I spent, seriously!!!
  9. He has amazing work ethic and integrity. He is an awesome leader.
  10. He always remodels or build things I dream up or find a picture of and complains the whole time, lol!
  11. He has a great relationship with my family & somehow manages to be a smarty to my Mom & get Me & My Step-Dad blamed for it "EVERYTIME"!!
  12. He will help me anytime I need extra cutting and heat sealing ribbon! :)
  13. He loves me for me in every light, I can totally be myself without reservation! I am so glad I found him! I love him so much!

PS: I put the songs from our wedding in my musicbox, they are songs 2 & 3! The 4th song I can't even find to upload, here are the lyrics, MAN I feel old!

NEXT STEP IN LOVE

Solid gold candle holders And an old bottle of wine

You let your hair down on your shoulders

And you pressed your lips to mine

The rain beat soft against the window

As the night turned into dawn

As I looked deep into your eyes

I knew where my heart belonged

I´m ready for the next step in love

Girl, you´re all that I can think of

Isn´t my love good enough

I´m ready for the next step in love

Solid white wedding dress

And a long white veil

We put all our fears to rest

And we let this ship set sail

I placed the ring on your finger

Then you looked at me and smiled

The we sealed our love with one last kiss

And I walked you up the aisle

I´m ready for the next step in love

Girl, you´re all that I can think of

Isn´t my love good enough

I´m ready for the next step in love

I´m ready for the next step in love

Girl, you´re all that I can think of

Isn´t my love good enough

I´m ready for the next step in love

I´m ready for the next step in love

Haliee's Winter String Concert!

Haliee had a strng concert a few days ago and they sounded so awesome! I couldn't believe how well it came together!!! Here are the ONLY pics I was able to get as these girlies thought they would be cute and hide behind their stands everytime they saw the camera. Preteens *SIGH* I could beat them! They were so tickled at themselves no matter how much of a Mom Face I had from the audience, they kept hiding everytime! They are terds! Anyway, in the 1st pic Miss. Haliee is hiding, I have 2 barely pics, and the final blurry pic was one Drew took. This is why is she making the awnry smile face. She only would let him take the pics, but he couldn't hold the camera still enought to get a good shot, lol! I deleted about 10 of his too blurry to keep.
I love this girl, even though she is a stinker sometimes. She must've gotten this from her Daddy because I never was anything less than perfect, bahhhh! *wink* :0) Thanks for letting me share!

Abby Cadabby and Social Butterfly Bows!

Hi everyone! I have 2 newbies today! Thanks for peeking! I am so ready for spring, I have been inspired!! I love how these turned out! Tab

Hi everyone! I am excited to share some new bowsies I made over the weekend. Some bright fun euro and some made to match gymboree's new Happy Rainbow line with more to come! Here they are :0)

Also I finally took pics of Drewy in his b-ball game, they aren't the best but it is hard to keep up with them, lol! Here are a few pics the game~! I love the one of him running through the tunnel slapping everyone's hands. They run through the fog that is why the 1st pics looks blurry and they all think they are ready for the NBA! It is so cute!

Look for some more made to match gymbo & some St. Patty's day surprises later in the week!

A great weekend!

We just got back from church & I have tons to do! I sat down to start bows, but I decided I had the best weekend I had to write about it really quick first! My parents (well 1 set of my parents) and my nephew came up on Thursday to visit & we were so happy to see them! You never have enough time to visit it seems and I think we made the most of it! :)

I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T TAKE PICTURES, UGH...BUT...we had so much fun! When I was a kid, I have so many fun memories of family time the great, the bad, and the ugly, but one of the great was making salt water taffy! As I remembered it, we were so excited until that hot candy hit our hands and we were trying to play hot potato instead of pulling, lol!

I wanted my kiddos to experience this too, so I asked Hal for a little pantry inventory so I didn't have to stand on a chair, lol. He soon discovered I had about 2 gallons of corn syrup, why, I have no idea, but...I am sure I had a great idea for it at some point which obviously never came to fruition, but hey, it came in handy this time! Haliee & Grandma went shopping for the other ingredients we needed and a candy thermometer! Well, they were out of thermometer's but Grandma thought we could manage as we never used one when we were little.

Well, it turns out, we kind of did need one, but I am glad it worked out this way as the kids have the best memories and it was even more fun for them...

Round 1: Grandpa is making caramel for Hal, and Grandma is on the taffy...the caramel comes out almost right, just a bit too soft, but YUM!!! Grandma is suddenly yelling, "GET READY, GET READY NOW!!!" We successfully made several flavors of Hard Candy!! LOL!!

Round 2: We decided to make sure we monitored the time a little closer this time, everyone is in place, hands buttered, ready to pull, I am yelling the time every 2 minutes, Grandma & Grandpa are bickering back and forth about whose candy checking method is most efficient the water method or...the Grandpa method, I whom have deemed myself candy making expert since I made it once or twice as a child decide it was finished and ready to pull, by the way without even entering the kitchen, yes, I am that great, so maybe not...

We have outstanding tasting, colored, GOOO!!!! The kids are in LOVE they are stringing this stuff up with both hands over their plates, and I am trying really trying to be calm and not freak I can see it on my walls, carpet, ceiling, couch, table, but really it is just on their hands and they didn't make a mess, my OCD was over the top and my head was ready to explode...my parents are thoroughly enjoying watching me try and remain calm so my kids could play, lol~ Ok, we decide after about 45 minutes, I wouldn't set no matter how hard my Stubborn self & Dad tried to prove Mom wrong, lol~!

ROUND 3:
We go get a candy thermometer at a different store and remake the caramel and some taffy! YEAH! It is so yummy and the kids had a blast! We were also wanting to make Root Beer, we couldn't get any dry ice so we opted for the other method until we get together again this summer, but the kids LOVED it too! We had so much fun with many laughs and several other funny moments but as a novelist, I believe bows are waiting, lol!

I will just end with saying Thanks to my family for a great weekend! Drew also played so great in his basketball game on Saturday, I was so proud of him!
Here's to a great week, and some Valentine's bows if it kills me!
HUGS, Tabitha :0)

We are back! :0)

Well, we have been back since the 15th, but...our life is so crazy I have been running til' now! It was so fun! The kids had a blast! It was 80's all week, so I was definitely soaking it up! The kids & Daddy were baking, I LOVED it! I miss the heat. Anyway, it was so dead. We never waiting more than 15 minutes for anything (with the exception of fantasmic, to get the perfect seat, lol.) We had a special early entry into Toon Town to meet the characters and I swear there were only about 20 people total in there with us. The kids had no lines to meet any characters, they walked right up and no lines for their houses or the rides. SO CRAZY! When Haliee was 2 1/2 we waited 3 hours for her to meet Minnie! Here are a few pics of the kids. Haliee took so many more pics than me as she got a new digital camera for xmas and was snapping away! She took a really cute one of Drew & Daddy I will have to upload it later!

They have a Libby Lu in downtown Disney's shopping area so she got this Fabulous Sharpay tank there! She had high hopes of having perfect hair on the trip as she also got her own flat iron and she thinks she is Miss. Independent, but at 6 am, she was over being cute, lol! This is what you all have to look forward to after hair bows & customs *sniff* It was so very cute to see her snapping pics though. It really put her age into perspective this trip as she is not mesmerized by the magic anymore just ready for the roller coasters!

Drew was still into it. He had a blast. He is so into Indiana Jones and so we rode it like 10 times! I will be singing the dang theme song for weeks. He got his Indy hat, scorpion necklace and tried for the whip, but we opted for Indy Mickey instead, Dad could see him beating his sister! His goal was to ride everything in both parks and he remained true to his goal! Even the big roller coasters which I never would've ridden at 7, NO WAY! He was scared out of his mind on the Tower of Terror I felt so bad, but he insisted on riding it. Afterwords, he decided he "needed" the I survived the tower shirt as "He barely SURVIVED Mom!!!" I swear he suffered from PTSD though because he refused to ride in any elevator at the hotel and kept asking where the service elevator's are in the hotel, lol! Poor Baby boy.

The best show ever was a Broadway performance of Aladdin. It was so awesome! We ate dinner in the Pirates of the Caribbean and it was really yummy! Drew is totally an adult in diet, he was so excited to see Salmon on the kids menu! Haliee, not so much, she was expressing her extreme preteen angst for no chicken strips, she recovered with a steak. It was a nice break to the hustle with excellent service, good food, and quiet ambiance!

And of course no "perfect" trip can be finalized without a little Drama right!?! So let me fill you in on our travel day home, lol...Ok 6 am last day, man it was tuff to get up for the 6th day in a row with little sleep and no mice to greet us. I drug them out, we decided to take the Disney Resort Travel Airport bus instead of renting a car this time so Daddy could relax instead of driving in crazy traffic to which we so don't miss and are honestly out of touch with now. I can't believe I drove like that with my children in the car, lol! I am definitely used to the slower Idaho pace now. Anyway, we were to be outside curbside at 7:35 for the return to LAX, we were there at 7:20 which btw NEVER happens for us NEVER, lol! At 7:35 the bus zooms right by us!!!!! EXCUSE ME! I am a little CRABBY, I call to let them know I am not the happiest customer and can envision us missing our flight, etc. they send another bus to take us to a different hotel to catch the original bus. Phew, it worked. We are now at the airport...I am checking us in at the kiosk and I accidentally push YES we have hazardous materials, lol! AHHHHHHHHH! So thankfully, the ticket agent who checked our bags decided I wasn't a terrorist without too much trouble. Ok, we are to security, let me back up a bit to explain... from the day of arrival Drew wanted this clear Mylar balloon with a blue latex mickey balloon inside. Ok, I promised him on the last day, he could get it and bring it home to show his friends at school. On the last night after fantasmic as they announced the park closure over the loud speaker he remembers his balloon. So Hal runs to the balloon lady and phew. Ok, so we have this HUGE balloon which is clear right...security is making me put it through the xray machine...are you serious, you can see through it, ok...so I ask, "Are you going to hold it so it doesn't float up into the machine and get stuck?", NO...the lady behind me shoves a guitar in just after the balloon, ugh, I glare at her and YES, it gets stuck, so now they are trying to get it out as the dang conveyor belt sways back and forth trying to move forward, I try and go through the security to help, but Hal who is in another line, I thought I would change lines to speed up the process, has my boarding pass, and they won't let me through the line without it, he is quite impressed by me by now as he leaves his line to get me my pass, lol! Ok we finally get it out, and get to our terminal, phew. We sit there for a few minutes and I realize our connection flight is only a 25 minute layover so even in a perfect world, I won't have time to feed the kids in the next airport, so I run to the available restaurants in our terminal which btw are burger king or starbucks, YUK! So, I stand in line at BK, I get up to order and it is 10:22 so no lunch until 10:30 grrrr....ok, I am not eating a fast food breakfast sandwich and getting on an airplane, so I wait. Of course they now are calling our plane to board. I hurry with our food and Haliee and I get to the line to see my son bawling hysterically, I look up and his beloved balloon is at the top of the ceiling in LAX. Of course it is right?! OMG poor baby. He was devastated. My husband is DONE!! So we are waiting in line to board and the arrival flight walks in...My brother and his wife come walking in lol! They were on their way to Hawaii and their flight through San Fransisco was cancelled, so they were diverted through LA! So weird! It was great to see them even if only for a sec.! Ok, so another slight problem, part of the food is spilled all over the ground, sigh, we clean it up and board the plane! The flight was a little late so thankfully I fed them even if it was an act of god! We land in Boise just long enough to refuel and as we are ready to taxi, the ground crew come on to let us know Spokane is fogged in and they are probably going to close. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? They are going to try and get there, but if they close while we are in route, we will be spending the night in Portland. Of course we will...

But...thankfully we were able to land unscathed! All I can say is..."Makin' Memories right!?"

Ok, sorry for the novel! I am going to get my booty to work now. I have a few customs & will be putting on some Valentine Pretties this week! Stay tuned! I am so excited to be making some new designs! Tab :0)
