Waterpark Fun!

Last week I took the kids to one of our many waterparks (there are 6 within 25 min of my house not including the Croc Center and the Y)! This one is 5 min. from our house and is indoors. It is at a place called Triple Play. They have several activities: Bowling, Indoor WaterPark, Mini Golf, Slick Track, Lazer Tag, Rock Climb, and a ton of games! It also has an attached hotel so if you stay there you can just go through the tunnel over to all the activities! This time the kids just played in the water and played a few games! They had a blast & it was so dead in there, probably only 45 people in the whole waterpark, then towards the end, there was only about 20. I took a pic of the wavepool towards the end & my kids were the only ones in there! They never had to wait in line for the slides at all! It was great! Another cure for boredom? Let's hope so!

PS~ Sorry for the pic overload, I sat there for 5 hours while they played, so I was BORED! :0) Ohhh...that word!

The Name of the Water Park is "Raptor Reef" this is over the wave pool!

Fun in the wave pool and the spa. The spa is 1/2 indoors & 1/2 out! This is such a "cool" thing to my kids :) Lovin' their goggles, lol! I think the lifeguards were bored too with it being so slow, they were super nice to the kids and talked/played with them the whole day!

The waterslides swirl in and out of the building, so weird looking from the outside. They raced through the red tubes! Their favorite one to which they affectionately call the "toilet bowl" is actually like a whirlpool and you swirl around until it sucks your tube down the center.

There is a play structure with 2 smaller slides for the smaller kiddos! It has a huge bucket that refills and dumps all over everyone!

Time for a snack break and some gaming :) Don't judge me, NO, I didn't make them get dressed 1st, they wanted to go back to the waterpark which was just a door away and I was too lazy to make them change twice. The older I get, the more I care about those precious smiles below and less about what those think around me. Plus, it was hilarious to see them running around with the goggles on their foreheads! MEAN Momma!

After what seemed like an eternity...here are the tickets won!

Then the redemption...the prize counter to which we must always loiter for atleast 1/2 an hour regardless of our total ticket count! And finally..."The Booty" wonderful quality prizes so worth their $ right? Of course! Haliee got Hal a tie clip as part of her prizes. Why they have tie clips as prizes one will never know. I am sure this is Mecca for white collar workers who frequent arcades, lol! Interesting...

Meet Zachary Aaron Cook

My brother Aaron & his wife Trisha welcomed their 1st baby into the world last night! Zachary Aaron Cook was born July 11 @ 11:45 pm. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and is 19 in. long. Isn't he the cutest! They live in Boise so I won't get to meet him yet, but lucky for me we are actually having a family reunion next week so I get to see him on the 19th! HOORAY! I can't wait to snuggle my new baby nephew!

Honeysuckle Beach!

I LOVE Coeur d Alene, it is such an amazing town! We have several city beaches here. This is one of them. It is so cool and 5 min. from our house! They enclosed an area with 3 docks shaped like a U to keep the wakes down from the boats & you can jump/dive off them! There is a swimming rope a few feet out to keep the little ones in the shallower water. The boat launch is off the right side so you can launch right there too! They have lifeguards and a snack bar! Way too fun! They even have a rope swing, we didn't make it over there this time, but here are some fun pics of our afternoon at Honeysuckle!

Silly Campers!

The kiddos decided to pitch a tent in the livingroom & have a camp out sleepover! They are so funny! They had a blast! Haliee thinks she is funny in the center pic taking a pic of me to show me how they feel!

The next morning they cleaned up all their blankets/etc. without me even asking! Man, maybe we should always have a tent, lol!

It must've been a "cool" idea, because pretty soon we had lots of neighbor kids over "campin" LOL! Aren't they too cute! PS Look at my goofy son's Iron Maiden Shirt *sigh* Guitar Hero. That was the shirt he wore for Halloween, I won't let him wear it in public so he wears to play in/sleep in as often as he can!

My Lil' "Man"

Drew is so funny! He has always had very adult tastes, wanting the finer things in life even from a toddler. He LOVES Lobster, Sushi, Blue Cheese, Asparagus, just to name a few. He has never been a super fan of fast food (love him) Even McDonalds would never be even his 5th choice. He wants Olive Garden, Red Lobster, etc. Anyway, I just had to take a pic at dinner last night, he has been down for a few days with the tummy flu, so as soon as he was feeling better, he told me he is craving BIG FOOD. He said, "Mom, I need a bacon cheeseburger." LOL! So, of course Mommy obliged. He loves swiss or pepper jack cheese (last night we had havarti) even grilled onions on his burger! I had to laugh when I added all the fixins to this 8 year olds burger. It looked like an audition from a Carl's Jr. commercial, lolol! Funny Boy! He was so happy! :) I had to share! Off to Ice Age 3. MMmmmm....Scones!

I made these Yummy Blueberry Scones with Orange Glaze this morning! They were so yummy!

***Ok, confession: I cheated a little bit with this yummy mix, but I added fresh blueberries and made a homemade orange glaze, does that count, lol! In my defense, I received the mix as a gift, was I to waste it? They were so super easy. I mean beyond easy! Super Yummy too! :0)

Ok, how many more times a day can I hear this? Grrr...we are busy all the time, but yet, Any moment of downtime, they say is boredom. Their boredom however=exhaustion for me, lol!

I LOVE Yummy Summer Goodies!

This is what we had for dinner last night! YUM! ;0) I LOVE fresh fruits and veggies! I can't figure out why I am getting fat, can you, ha! :) It sure is FUN though! Drew is feeling ok, better but not great. Still not eating, but he did go play 9 holes with his Dad & Papa Ken last night. I guess he was like 80%. I know he didn't feel good in the morning though because we were supposed to go to the movies and them to the beach for the day. He was in agreement when I told him he was too sick, so I know he felt bad. Poor Guy. I am feeling kinda blah though, ugh, I hope it is just a little touch of it. I have too much to do to be sick!
