National Take Your Child To Work Day!

Thursday was Take Your Child to Work Day! Kohl's is really awesome about it & recognises it every year. The only stipulation is the children have to be at least 10. Bummer for Drew. This is Haliee's 2nd year going & she LOVES it! They give the kids their own name badge and basically let the kiddos shadow their parents for a day. For Haliee it is extra cool as she can basically do everything in the store she wants to. She got to count $ in the vault, ring customers, delegate to subordinates, take returns, fold, fitting rooms, a little of everything! :) I asked Hal to take pics for me, here are the only 3, they were taken with his hone but I am so thankful for them! Super Cute. Isn't she a mess!

Here was the sign up in the break-room...

Happy Birthday Haliee Girl!

Today is my sweet baby girls 12th birthday *SNIFF* I can't believe she is almost a teenager. Why do they have to grow up so fast. It is just not fair. She has been a joy every.single.day. I don't think this princess has a mean bone in her body. She is the sweetest, most even tempered, loving girl I know. I am truly honored to be her Mamma. Thank You God for giving me this angel.

Here are 12 things I LOVE about my Bobo Reilly...

I LOVE this little girl's guts out! What a fun little mess she is! She isn't much of a weekday breakfast girl these days now that Middle School begins an hour before Elementary. I made her some french toast sticks complete with a candle of course. She got a new outfit to wear that day from us & some zebra duct tape, smelly good pens, & gum from her brother. She was so excited, I told her she wasn't getting anything until her party & she was freaking out the night before on what she would wear to school on her birthday! :0)

Love this pic...just woke up, and already her phone is seated next to her breakfast!

Drewy got up early to give his Sissy her bday surprise from him!

She was over the moon excited for this zebra duct tape, lol! She made Hal a ring out of it & he wore it all day!

Hal and I surprised her and picked her up for lunch out. She chose Wendy's (YUCK!)

She had Softball Pictures, a Game, & Drew had practice, so we made our usual crazy rounds. I made some sugar cookie bars for the team to eat after the game. They sang her Happy Birthday & embarrassed her! YAY!

We ran through Del Taco for dinner. My junk food junkie was so Happy. We never eat fast food crap. Especially twice in a day unless we are on vacation or moving, lol! We were going to finish the night off with some yummy pistachio cream pie! One of Haliee's fav's but we were all stuffed and tired, so we ate it the next night. Lucky for her, she will get to blow out candles 3 times this year! :0)

She is having a softball party on Saturday. I will post pics then! Here are her invites...Aren't they adorable! I normally make everything. I love birthday parties, but I was a little off with my surgery. I was trying to coordinate time with Hal's work, life, my parents are vacationing in Sedona the following weekend, etc. So I found these invites and loved them. I will post a link to her store on ebay. She was awesomely sweet. Rushed my order and did a great job. Extremely accommodating. Check her out!

Ready for the Summer!

Sunday after Church we snuck down to the lake for a change of pace. We were a little stir crazy and it was a beautiful day! It was actually only like 67 but to us...it felt amazing! It's weird how you acclimate to your surroundings, it was like a 85 degree day in Cali! Drew was ready to go out in the boat~!

Instead, we walked...skipped rocks...climbed on trees...posed for pics...played in the sand...got a little wet even though Mom asked us not to. (The water is probably 45 degrees!) I so needed it! Poor Daddy was stuck inside at work :( I am ready for Summer! I LOVE the Sunshine.

"Miss Hollywood" You know what they say...You can take the girl out of California...(Doesn't everyone wear legwarmers to play by the lake)

Opening Day 2010!

Yesterday was Little League Opening Day! It was freezing, windy, & raining as not to disappoint us who have come to expect this weather! After we left the field, the sun came out & it warmed up to almost 70 go figure! ;0) Drew is AA this year and will pitch for his team! He is an Oriole this year but has the same coaches & mostly the same team as the past few years! Hal will be umping the home games and I am the scorekeeper as well as team Mom. It is a crazy time of year for us. We live at the ball fields 6 days a week between baseball & softball. I LOVE watching the kiddos play!

Here are some fun pics of the ceremonies. We have amazing fields and it is a very dedicated league. Drew was so cute excited to slap hands with the majors and then to welcome in the A, Coach Pitch, and T-Ballers as he was big stuff compared to them! His expressions were priceless even though we were all FREEZING!
A little buy named Bo in Drew's Class and his little brother held the flag for the National Anthem & they welcomed/recognised a Home Town Hero (A dedicated serviceman who's kids play for the league. He is getting ready to deploy for his millionth tour.), as well as inducting a long time Coach, Manager, Board Member into the Little League Hall of Fame. It was a fun day!
I am ready to watch these babies PLAY BALL!

Customer Cuties!

Maybe I should have titled this post the "Thanks for not beating up our Mommies for our chests full of bows club" Ha Ha!

Here are some sweet pics of some of my customers flaunting their KGD Best! I LOVE to receive pics! It makes me so happy! Karrington has been wearing KGD for years, how fun to watch her grow! XO Sam, love ya girl!
Pam is no less special! She has her own boutique and her daughter is a doll! A fellow Justin Bieber lover flaunting those bows, does it get any better? *wink* She recently donated some boutique goodies to their local Children's Hospital, I can't wait to see those pics! I'll be sure to share!

Lastly, Toni's daughter Dylan...She has been flaunting some bowbands in my ole' stompin' grounds! Toni is friends with some of my Bako besties! I am working on a ton of new little piggies for Dylan as she is graduating from bowbands to piggie "horns" LOVE IT!

Thanks so much everyone, you allow me to be home with my kiddos while doing something I love & all the while living vicariously through you all since my babies refuse to STOP growing! You guys are the best! :0) XOX Tab

I'm back...

Well sort of...

I had surgery on Thursday to remove a cyst on my left ovary and explore my right side as I have been having pain since 2002 (yes, I am a procrastinator when it comes to such things.) I woke up to find they had figured out the pain was probably my uterus and had removed it :(

I am so grateful the surgery went well and I am home and feeling pretty good, just sore. I was truthfully planning on having more babies so the hysterectomy was a huge blow to my heart. I am really struggling with it. I am so very thankful for the 2 gifts God has blessed me with and know the surgery was necessary so I will deal.

Hal has been amazing through all. He has taken on the Mom reigns with full force and has totally been there for me emotionally. I appreciate his support more than he will ever know.

My friends and family have also been awesome. So many people sent flowers, gifts, stopped by and called. I feel so loved. Thank you all so much.

I'll be back soon with new bows and lots of happenings!
