Fun & Snuggles!

Ok, Hal is Ellie's favorite! Unless she is in the mood~If anyone of us tries to love on her she tells us to "GO AWAY"! She adores Haliee, loves her Pabba, can't wait to play ball with her "Bru" (Drew), but oh Hal...Hal is her Man! :0) He gets all her snuggles! She runs to him no matter if she's seen him 10 times that day! I finally remembered to grab the camera this day! I LOVE all these fun giggly smiling babies!

She LOVES playing with his glasses! And watching cartoons on his new tv!

Time to Wrestle...Kids v.s. Hal

Ahhhh To be the Mommy of a Pre-Teen!

You know you have a pre-teen if:

  • Your cell phone sings Justin Bieber full volume when you receive a text but you have no idea how to even upload a song on your phone!
  • You randomly post comments on friends blogs as "Bo-Bo" because she has logged you out and herself in!
  • There are 5 changes of clothing laid out every morning that don't belong to you!
  • You wake up 20 minutes early so you can wake her to flat iron her hair!
  • You drive to the School to pick her up only to receive a phone call as you turn the corner asking permission to go to a friends. Atleast you are available to give all her other walking friends a ride home!~
  • On days she does come home with you, She doesn't take 1 breath in the entire 5 minute drive home because that would pause the story of her day!
  • EVERY conversation has several "OH MY GOSH*LIKE*TOTALLY*& WICKED" plugged into it!
  • You are now completely a taxi driver without pay especially on weekends!
  • Nothing that belongs to you is really yours anymore, you must search for it in places you didn't ever place it!
  • Cleaning up after yourself is "STUPID"
  • You hear the rationalization of how IPODS & TEXTING help you do your homework!
  • Clearance is so cool when you are spending your own money!
  • You don't have to match socks because wearing mismatch is AWESOME!
  • You are cRaZy for not thinking all fast food tastes A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.
  • You so don't feel old enough for the teenager who someone allowed to mutate into your daughter!!!
  • You do however feel old & tired at 10:30 pm when your daughter and her friend can't make up their mind what house they are sleeping at so you can taxi and GO TO BED!

WOW! My baby girl has changed so much this year! I am convinced Middle School has some kind of growth hormone in their water! Although...I wouldn't change a thing! She is such a good girl! I am proud of her integrity and compassion thus far! She is a mess and I love her little baby guts out! This is a fun, exciting, and scary adventure!

Fun Times...

On my way home from dropping my Drewy this morning I was flipping through the stations and this Brad Paisley song came on. I have always loved this song, I think it should be played every morning following the pledge in every Middle & High School in America. Now *I* knew everything so it wouldn't have helped me HA! But...man some of these sweet kiddos struggle every single day and I just feel for them if we could only help them all see past Friday Night! I am so thankful...so far so great for my babies! Ok, sorry I am a nerd I know!

We have had a great past few weeks! So busy but great FUN! Last week, we met My Dad and other Momma in Pendleton, Oregon for a fun little getaway. It is almost perfectly halfway between Coeur d Alene and Boise and they have an Indian Casino need I say more?! :0) My parents recently bought a 50 ft. motorhome and it was their maiden voyage! That thing is a beast!!! So nice, tile floors, corian countertops, flatscreens, and tooo many buttons!!! Hal and Dad spent the weekend figuring it all out (or trying) We had been planning it since Christmastime but the kiddos had no idea! So after almost blowing it a few times, & after I dropped off the kiddos at school Thursday morning I cleaned(why cuz I'm a nerd) like mad, shopped, packed, got some food ready for the dinners i was in charge of, loaded the car, paid bills, answered emails, got my bow orders out, went to work for a few I had some appointments, and phew had the car packed down before Haliee got out at 2:30. Now of course I ran to pick her up, she jumped in shotgun like always, but...immediately noticed the suitcases and pillows, etc. in the back. (She never looks behind the 1st back seat) So, Hal & I had decided we'd fib to them if they asked...Now back up 2 weeks prior, the plasma tv in our bedroom (yes I said bedroom, don't judge me, not my idea. But...I have a great husband who provides for us, is a good man, Dad, etc. Not in the bars or strip joints, ha! So he can have whatever tv he wants just don't tell him I said so cuz I have to complain like a good wife) broke. So he had been pouting for a few days as I repeatedly told him we didn't need a new one, we could use the picture tube from the toy room :0) My point is coming...
So our excuse to the kids was, we are going to Seattle because they have a Circuit City going out of business and Daddy wants to go get a new T.V. lolol! They bought it hook, line, and sinker! They were happy to go and hoped we'd spend the night! :0) So after a pit stop through Sonic we were off. When we got to Tri-Cities I thought for sure they's suspect something, but nope, they didn't realize this wasn't the way we go to Seattle. I kept complaining about how it was ridiculous to go all this way for a tv, I didn't want to spend the $, blah, blah so they totally bought it! When we were just outside of Pendleton Drew questioned us saying it looked like the way to Boise, but believed me when I said you could get to Seattle this way too (which is true btw it is just a very long way around) Haliee was too busy texting and listening to music to notice anything! So we played it off until we pulled into the casino's RV park! :9) It was really fun to surprise them! They were so happy! They had Rib Eye's on the grill waiting for us mmmm....LOVE! Funny story too because there was some sort of problem with the convection oven and it would go off after every minute so my poor Mom had to push the button every minute until the baked potatoes were finished! Now thats dedication!

We had so much fun, gambling, talking, watching movies, playing games, swimming, & just hanging out! Hal and the kids even got in the sauna YUCK! We pretty much had the whole park to ourselves as most people aren't Rv'ing in January in snow country~! Of course I am a loser and didn't take pics again! UGH! I did try at the pool once but my camera had been in the freezing car so as soon as I took it into the humid building it had moisture all over it and I was worried I'd ruin it if I kept it in there. So here is the only pic I have of the trip...Drew is actually in the pool right in from of me but you can't even see him because the lens is all foggy and wet.
:( It was really fun though! I am so thankful for a great family!! I am also thankful for my bestie love and neighbor Erin who always keeps our pets for us so we can travel!
Hal had this entire week off and it was so great to have him home! He had a comp week for working like a slave all Christmas Season long. So we went to Pendleton and then just had a staycation! We hung out all week while the kids were in school we watched movies (yes he got a new tv hence the staycation) and played games/watched movies, hung out as a family!

For Superbowl weekend, Friday night we went to Church so we would have the day to cook and get ready for Superbowl on Sunday. My other Mom and Dad came over and hung out. We went out to yummy Chinese & played Pit on Saturday and ate tons of yummy food while we watched the game on Sunday! Nat stayed the weekend too of course her and Haliee are inseparable so its par for the course :0)

Today is Hal's last day off before everything is back to normal. I am sad he has to go back but I need to get back in my routine and get my booty in gear! I hopefully will be neglecting my blog a little less this week! I have several things to post about that are so old! It's almost Softball/Baseball season when I completely lose my identity and don't sleep for a few months as they are really going to 2 different directions every single day, I need to gear up for that and hopefully get some bows going now! :0)

And just because this is an extra nerdy post I have to share my latest couponing. I separated my groceries to show Hal what I got free (It's one of his favorite things about me *NOT* I make him look at what I got FREE every.single.time. I go to the store!) but it is so exciting! (For ME) YAY! Look at all my freebies this trip! I heart coupons!
Ok stay tuned for some cute m2m The Childrens Place this week. I have some customs to get out so I hope to get some St. Patty's Day & Easter out at the end of the week or beginning of next. I also have to upload the "Horror Flick" and it's outtakes the kids made this weekend. It is so funny~! I LOVE their creative litle guts out all of them! Happy Monday! HUGS

My Woodwards...

I am really missing my Woodward's lately. I can't believe Kayden would be 6 in a few weeks...sometimes it feels like an eternity, sometimes a few days. So weird sometimes it doesn't even come on my radar for weeks, other times I hear a song, see a place, takes me back to a few weeks I wish I didn't relive in my mind.

Like finding the notes while cleaning the dungeon Casie & the girls wrote to me when we moved away. I have complete faith that he has a plan, that he knows why, that I will know when it is time for me to know. But...being the complete control freak I am, I can't stand not knowing, waiting, wondering...THIS IS MY LESSON. I recognise this, I just don't LIKE it! Why doesn't the fact that *I am Tabitha* not work on God, lol! :0) I hate SIDS...

I miss my Kayden snuggles, I miss making her Daddy mad spending $ on yards and yards of ribbons, clothing, photo shoots...

I miss my Casie, though she had to endure something no Mommy ever should, we are closer than sisters, soul mates of a sort...for this I am thankful.

I miss my girls, I can't believe they are now young women, what 5 years will do...from silly teenagers filling Hal's shoes with water, changing all the settings on his cell phone to Spanish, & taking his wallet while we swam...Hearing Ky say "It's on & poppin Hal" knowing full well her 95 lbs. soaking wet was the one going in the pool not him...I miss them dressing up the boys in Haliee's dress up and driving the Daddies mad :0)
I miss my little boys who now aren't soo little getting into everything and being too cute to bust. Screaming "Tabby Tab" and running towards me open armed everytime I walked through the door.
I miss game nights, Hal yelling at Mark for being too cheap to run the a/c...Mark pouting & wanting to read and reread the instructions to attack UNO because there is no way we aren't cheating :0) I miss Mark dressing up like Spidey for Kole's party to make them so happy but not being able to resist scaring the kiddos the night before...
How different the Woodward life is now, 5 years later....I LOVE YOU ALL & miss you so much...

Haliee and the TERRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY MESSY ROOM!

Have I ever mentioned my baby girl is a PIGGIE?!?! Bless her baby heart! She drives us CRAZY with her little messes! Her nickname should be pig pen not Bobo. :0) Where ever she goes a tornado follows her! Now don't get me wrong, it is a cute, flat ironed, perfume smelling, fashion statement of a tornado, but...nevertheless, it's a TORNADO! I asked her a week ago to clean her room and let the excuses begin, "I'm tired, I have homework, I have to babysit, I don't feel good". "Please can I go to Nat's, I promise I'll pick up tomorrow" 3 days later...RIGHTTTTTT! Anyway, she wants her hair cut...she has chosen this style off the internet...Ok fine, no problem, your hair, not inappropriate...as soon as your room is cleaned!! WHHAAATTT!! Apparently that was an unreasonable request?! So after a long pout in her room, she came to terms with it, lol! Thankfully she is a good girl, she doesn't talk back, she just pouts! :)

But a little bit more info...
A few months ago she had a queen size bed complete with matching bedding, etc. Well, she wanted a trundle so she would have more room and could still have a bed when her friends slept over (not that they ever sleep in there anyway). Daddy was completely against it, I mean not happy at all. His point was she would just have a bigger area to make a mess, she was only growing, not shrinking, plus she already has new bedding, etc. I let her *bad wife* as I agree it would give her more room...She SWORE it was a fresh start, A new Haliee, she'd keep her room clean if please oh please Daddy let her get a new bed...Hmmm...How quickly she forgets!

Here is the hairstyle she so desires.

Zoe & Sophie decided to be project managers for this apparently colossal event, lol. After about an hour, I went up camera in hand to check the progress....

I knew she was ticked so being the ornery person I am I decided to knock and make her answer me instead of just walking in. But..Sophie answered and informed me I COULD NOT COME IN, lol!
Well, the floor is clean! She could not understand why I felt everything crammed in her closet, on the vanity, the lamp table, under the vanity...was a PROBLEM!

Don't let this sweet smile fool you, she is so ticked at me right here, lol! I offered to interview her and post it so we could see who took my side and who took hers...She declined the interview.

She did manage to freak her Dad completely out when he found she had decorated her room with posters hung up with COLORED DUCT TAPE!

So as I sit here this morning, her closet is clean, the vanity and lamp table still sit, pillowcased and askew...she feels it is more than sufficient and it's haircut time. Hmmmm....do I crack the whip? ~ LOVE this girl and all her clutter :0)

A few minutes after the room pics Erin called to have the girls come home for dinner...Sophie was not havin it. After a few small tantrums as I carried her down the stairs, to the counter to put on her boots...She was relentless "No Way, I tant bo home I tay with you!" "I am MAD MAD MAD" How do you say no to that??? You don't! You make her Momma come do it, lol! I am already the bad guy for the room cleaning right!? I made a video while Erin was coming to get her so we could all laugh!
For the record, after reviewing the tape...I think she is saying: "Hey Pabba, I want the flour" Meaning she wants to bake something. It's my best guess :)

I LOVE these sweet babies! ALL OF THEM! :0)

No more hiding

Ok, time to come back to reality~ It has been an awesome much needed reprieve, but...life is getting back to normal. I spent all day yesterday cleaning after my parents left. I am deep cleaning my studio for the new year. Today after Church I will finish & we will take all our decorations down. Then it's back to the bow grind! I am excited for some new designs! I can't believe it is time for Valentine's hearts!

We had a great New Year, just relaxing and playing games, we even had a dance off to 80's hip hop, rap etc. LOL TOO FUNNY! Hal captured part of it on his phone, so I will try and upload that, it was hysterical! Vanilla Ice, Hammer, Bel Biv Devoe ahhhh...I am so OLD! :0) I can still do the running man (sort of) but my mad Roger Rabbit skills stayed in Junior High I guess, Hal got a good laugh though!

Do you like this new song playing on my blog?!? It is Haliee's FAVORITE! We have heard it a thousand times ATLEAST this Holiday break! Justin Bieber is her LOVE! Too funny to watch this girl morph into a teenager. I LOVE her so much!

Lookie what I found cleaning my ebay dungeon yesterday....My little Drewy Santa Baby! Isn't he precious, wahhh...he is so big now! My poor little guy has the tummy flu :( He has been in bed for 2 days :( I hate it when my babies are sickie.

Last but certainly not least The POWER of PRAYER! My New Year's Resolution may be coming faster than I thought. Keep the prayers coming! An opportunity may have presented itself to us, if it comes to fruition, I will be a serious Bow "Hoe" LOL! I will know more in a week or so, but until then, please keep us in your prayers! This is a big change....
